Installation: 4 screws, 5 minutes

The holder mounts via 4 screw holes on its top plate:

1. Remove the battery from the tool
2. Hold the holder against the underside of your bench/shelf
3. Mark the 4 screw positions with a pencil
4. Pre-drill if mounting in hardwood (optional in softwood)
5. Screw the holder in place with 4×20 mm wood screws (not included)
6. Slide your tool into the holder — it locks via the battery foot dovetail

Tip: Mount the holder in a position where the battery is removed and stored separately. The holder is designed to hold the bare tool; battery should be stored on a charger or shelf nearby.

Mounting surface — what works?

• Wooden workbench: 4×20 mm wood screws (best)
• Plywood shelf: 4×16 mm wood screws
• MDF cabinet: 4×20 mm with pre-drilling
• Steel surface: Self-tapping metal screws
• Brick/concrete wall: 6×40 mm wall plugs + screws (mount to wall instead of underside)

The holder itself is rated for typical Ryobi One+ tool weight (1-2.5 kg). Don't mount in plasterboard alone — find a stud or use heavy-duty wall anchors.

Will my Ryobi drill fit?
If it's an 18V One+ tool with the standard battery slot, yes. Check the underside of the tool — if it has a rectangular slot where the 18V battery slides on, it fits.

Are screws included?
No. You'll need 4 wood screws (4×20 mm work well for most workbenches) or appropriate fasteners for your mounting surface.

Can I mount on a wall instead of under a bench?
Yes — the holder mounts in any orientation as long as the tool is held by gravity into the foot. Wall mounting works if you orient the holder so the dovetail points downward.

Does the battery stay on the tool when stored?
The holder works with or without battery — but Ryobi recommends removing batteries during long-term storage to extend battery life. Most users remove the battery and store it on the charger.

How much weight can it hold?
Rated for typical Ryobi One+ tools up to ~2.5 kg. Hammer drills and impact drivers are within range.

Is it compatible with Ryobi 36V or 40V tools?
No — those use a different battery foot shape. This holder is specifically for 18V One+ series.
