Sustainability at Cool3D
Sustainability at Cool3D
At Cool3D we make our products with 3D printing in our own workshop. Working locally and choosing better materials is part of how we do things — here is what that means in practice.
Made in our own workshop
Everything we make is produced in our own workshop in our own workshop. Because we design, print and ship from one place, our products don't travel halfway around the world before they reach you. Local production means shorter transport, no overseas freight, and full control over the quality of every single item.
PLA — a plant-based material
Many of our products are printed in PLA, a bioplastic made from renewable resources such as corn starch rather than fossil oil. Under the right industrial composting conditions, PLA is biodegradable. It lets us make durable, detailed products from a material that begins with a plant instead of crude oil.
Reusing packaging
Whenever possible, we reuse the boxes and packaging our own materials arrive in — for example filament boxes and shipping cartons. Instead of buying new packaging for every order, we give our materials’ boxes a second life when we pack your items. That means less waste and fewer new resources in circulation.
A responsible way to work
We believe good products and responsible production go hand in hand. We keep improving the way we work — from the materials we choose to how we run our workshop — and we're always happy to answer questions about how your product is made.
