Description
Your generator won't start, the old gasket has given up, and you need a replacement that actually seals. This carburetor gasket is a direct fit for Briggs & Stratton horizontal engines — covering the 390323, 394228, and 398170 part numbers used across 7HP, 8HP, and 9HP configurations, including the Generac S4000 (4000 Series).
The fix
Carburetor gaskets fail. They dry out, compress unevenly, or crack after years of heat cycling. Sourcing OEM replacements can be a waiting game — and generic paper gaskets often don't hold up under repeated thermal stress. This one is produced from flexible, heat-resistant TPU material, rated to withstand temperatures up to 210°C. It compresses and conforms the way a gasket should, without becoming brittle over time.
