Description

If the ignition on your John Deere LT133 wobbles, shifts, or pops out slightly when you turn the key, the problem isn't the mechanism itself — it's the oversized hole in the sheet metal behind it. Over time, that gap gets worse, and what starts as a minor annoyance turns into something that genuinely feels like it's about to fail. This small spacer fixes it for good.

How it solves the problem

The spacer sits between the ignition mechanism and the sheet metal, filling the gap that causes all that unwanted movement. Once the mechanism is reinstalled, it holds the spacer firmly in place — so even if the adhesive ever lets go, you're covered. A dab of superglue on the inside of the sheet metal is all it takes to position it during install. From there, the ignition does the clamping work.

  • Eliminates wobble and play in the ignition keyhole
  • Stops the mechanism from popping out under use
  • No drilling, no cutting, no modifications to your mower
  • Installs in minutes with basic hand tools and superglue
  • Fits the John Deere LT133 ignition keyhole

The fix

This is the kind of repair that OEM replacement parts don't cover — because the mechanism itself isn't broken. The sheet metal hole is just too large, and no one sells a shim for that. Instead of sourcing an entire new panel or living with a sloppy ignition, this spacer gives you a direct, purpose-built solution that fits exactly where it needs to.

If your LT133 is otherwise in good shape and you want to keep it that way, getting the ignition feeling solid again is a worthwhile five-minute job. You'll notice the difference the first time you turn the key.
